HOW TO CONTROL EMOTIONS

Wed Feb 4, 2009, 2:20 PM

Found the following article while browsing the shared drive in the office. It's about how to control or manage anger in a hilarious but practical way (kahit papano). The description said it can be applied to almost everyone, whether it's a family member, friends, loved ones, even your better half and most specially people you don't know who can practically destroy your day. It brought some relief to me especially when I get irritated with agents who escalate invalid issues. I specially love item #5 heheheheh *wicked grin*

#1 Ang naunang magalit ang may karapatang magalit. Pag naunahan ka na ng galit niya, tumahimik ka na lang muna.

#2 Walang taong nag-aaway mag-isa. Pag hindi sumagot o pumatol, titigil din daw ang taong nakikipag-away sa iyo.

#3 Ang taong galit, "bingi". If someone is angry, wala raw pinakikinggan, so don't try to explain dahil wala siyang naririnig kundi ang sarili niya.

#4 Ang taong galit, "abnoy". Because the Lord said when he was crucified, "Father, patawarin mo sila dahil hindi nila alam ang kanilang ginagawa." The modern term for these kind of peopleare 'abnoys', so you better not get angry para wag ka matawag na abnoy.

#5 Finally, you should also know and realize that the people who make your day bad are jewels, because you need them for you to mature. Hangga't andyan daw sila at kinaiinisan mo, ibig sabihin immature ka pa. God will not take away these people; it's for you to take away your bad feelings towards them. You'll know na mature ka na pag dumating na yung time na hindi ka na naiinis sa mga taong ito because you have learned to accept them and to have patience with them. The best part is to tell yourself na, because of the person, "I will mature", and that DAHIL SA CONTRIBUTION NYA SA MATURITY MO, KUKUNIN DIN SIYA NI LORD.

I'm Yours

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
Now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
And nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing
We're just one big family
And It's our God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love loved

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Scooch on over closer dear
And i will nibble your ear

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what I'm be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find that the sky is yours
Please don't, please don't, please don't
There's no need to complicate
Cause our time is short
This oh this this is out fate, I'm yours

Carrot, Egg, and Coffee

Sun Nov 30, 2008, 12:35 PM
A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee...You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners.

She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl.

She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.

Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.

Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see."

"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level?

How do you handle adversity?

Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Level Up Live 2007

Online gamers gathered last Nov 3-4 at World Trade Center for Level Up Live 2007. The venue just started to get crowded sometime in the afternoon. It was really great to see :iconmeik0: in her Belato armor, she's just one cute Belato heeeeee~ ^______^ Of course Lyrone was also there. There was another Belato donned in purple spandex and all, I'm just not sure what level she is. Overall it was a good event, I guess, as I am not a gamer I'm no too good in reviewing events I'm not familiar with. Too crowded for my liking though (what can I expect ^ ^;; )

I only got a couple of shots of :iconmeik0: , the rest of the pics will be posted at her Multiply account.

Thanks to Shall-chan for being there with me. Sa uulitin ^___^
